Appointments

During business hours, an appointment with a doctor is available within 24hrs.

People requiring urgent care without a prior appointment are seen in our comprehensive treatment room.

We value your time and running on schedule is important to everyone.

Missed appointments deny other patients access to medical care, therefore a missed appointment fee may be applicable.

Multiple issues may need an additional appointment to ensure proper attention is given.

 

Fees

Our aim is to provide the highest quality care in a friendly environment with low or no out of pocket expenses for you wherever possible.

Please see below, items we Bulk Bill:

  • All patients who have an up to date Medicare Care Plan. Many people are eligible, check with your GP.

  • All Children to school leaving age.

  • All aged pensioners, 65 years and over.

  • All people over 75 with a current Medicare Health Assessment.

  • All appointments for current repeat prescriptions, previously prescribed by our GPs.

  • All appointments for immunisations given by our practice nurse’s (Patient to pay cost of vaccine).

Exceptions include procedures and long consultations.

Please advise your GP at the start of your consultation if cost is a barrier to your care.

You can help minimise or eliminate out of pocket expenses by focusing on your main problem in consultation with your doctor. This approach promotes best care outcomes.

A missed appointment fee may be added to your account for multiple failed appointments.

Appointments for complex or multiple problems will attract a fee to enable this comprehensive service.

 

Home Visits

Aberdeen Medical Centre provides a home visiting service. A gap fee may apply.
